History: The mill was built by Harold Metcalf with George Metcalf being the last operator. George had a small mill building about 100 feet from the old dam where he generated electricity for personal use.
Site Characteristics: The site was unusual in that it had three separate stone and earthen dam structure creating an off-stream pond. The only remnants remaining today include the hydroelectric mill building and sections of the old dam. The later had been rebuilt in recent years with a cement cap.
