Mill type: Joinery/Silk mill
Water power: Overshot wheel
Mill type: Joinery/Silk mill
History: Little definitive history could be found for the mill. The mill manufactured silk stocking and little else could be found to tie the site to a time period, builder, or miller. At this writing, additional information has been located. It will be added when verified.
Site Characteristics: The mill was located on the northwesterly side of Kollar Road on land currently owned by Mark Masinda and most likely part of the original property containing Sharp’s Mill. There is physical evidence indicating mill activity but rather sketchy. About 750 feet up stream from the junction of Kollar Road and Luchon Road was a small diversion dam that fed a sluiceway to a mill building diagonally across the street from the Masinda home. The sluiceway is difficult to trace as a pond utilizing the original dam location for the mill covers some of the old sluiceway area. The remnants of the foundation of the old mill are about 500 feet from the intake.
